Where to See the Best Pink Sunset in Santiago This Summer?
I highly recommend a fantastic spot for a half-day adventure in Santiago that goes beyond the typical tourist spots like Plaza de Armas or the Presidential Palace. Head to San Cristobal Hill, known as Cerro San Cristobal in Spanish, and take the scenic cable car 🚠. This urban park is perfect for hiking and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the entire city, complete with a majestic statue of the Virgin Mary at the summit.

To get there, simply grab an Uber to the Oasis station, where you’ll find the Cerro San Cristobal Cable Car. Once you arrive, you have three exciting options to ascend the hill:

🚠 **Cable Car**
Tickets for the cable car are sold by time slots, so be sure to book your tickets at least two hours in advance on the website www.turistick.com. This ensures a smooth and hassle-free experience.

🚌 **Minibus**
The minibus will take you halfway up the hill. Just a short 10 meters from the entrance, you’ll find a ticket seller at the bus stop. Note that payment is cash-only, as international cards requiring currency exchange won’t work here 😒.

🚶♂️ **Hike (Highly Recommended!!)**
If, like me, you can’t secure a cable car ticket or your card doesn’t work for the minibus, don’t worry! Hiking up the hill is an incredible experience. The trail is a wide, cemented path, making it very easy to navigate. The journey is filled with stunning views of the Andes and the vibrant cityscape of Santiago. You’ll also likely encounter friendly locals hiking with their adorable dogs, adding to the charm of the experience.

On your way down, if you time it right, you’ll catch the sunset, which bathes the entire city in a warm, pinkish glow. Even the peaks of the Andes turn a beautiful shade of pink, creating a truly magical moment.
