I’ve been hitting the courts for the past three days, and while my performance on Friday was pretty rough, I managed to step up my game on Saturday and Sunday.

During our doubles match on Sunday, one of my teammates really caught my attention. He’s the type who only criticizes himself, never others [laugh-cry emoji]. If he misses a shot, you’ll hear him exclaim, “Oh shit!” But if I’m the one who messes up, he calmly offers constructive feedback like, “Your racket face was open,” which explains why the ball went off, or “You were cramped,” meaning I couldn’t generate enough power, or “Rotate your body” to better combine forces.

He always sticks to the facts, which makes me feel incredibly comfortable. Not only do I know exactly how to adjust next time, but I also feel a sense of security because he isn’t judging me. This kind of supportive and relaxed environment is crucial for beginners, as it often leads to performing beyond expectations, haha!

Lastly, I have to give a big shout-out to the tennis courts above Kuningan City. Playing there at night is an absolute delight—well-ventilated and spacious! It’s not hot at all, and the courts are large enough to allow for more expansive movements [blowing a kiss emoji].

A special thanks to the Jakarta 🎾 team; everyone is so friendly. The group leader even took the time to teach me how to improve my volley technique yesterday!
