Discover 71% of Earth’s Hidden Underwater Beauty: Best Photos for Non-Divers
Photos of freediving alongside massive cargo ships can easily steal the spotlight from a collection of scuba diving shots. Since I can’t freedive… alright, alright, I’ll kneel [slyly observing]. But as a scuba diver, I managed to capture a stunning half-submerged photo with a blacktip reef shark [thumbs up]!

✅To get such breathtaking photos, it’s not just about choosing the right dive site; you also need a skilled photographer who knows how to use a wide-angle lens to make girls look fabulous, like Niu Baobao.
✅Blacktip reef sharks love clear, shallow waters and are often found in coral reefs, intertidal zones, and other shallow areas.

At Wayag Shark Point, all you need to do is kneel down, and you’re in the frame with them [frowning face].
✅Venture a bit deeper, and you’ll encounter hard corals that can be a bit uncomfortable underfoot. During high tide, you can freedive to a certain depth, and you might even witness a mesmerizing jackfish storm.

✅Wayag is located on the northern route of Raja Ampat (northwest, quite remote, so it’s best to confirm with your boat if they will go there). If you’re staying on an island in Raja Ampat, you can arrange for the hotel to provide boat transportation to this incredible dive site.

⚠️Blacktip reef sharks are carnivorous and can be quite fierce. When approaching, be extremely cautious: never feed fish meat near people, or else… oops… [petrified face].

The May Day holiday is just around the corner. Are you ready for an adventure?
Why not take the plunge and learn freediving [frowning face]?
