Discover the Breathtaking Beauty of Komodo: A Must-Visit Island Paradise
✨I was once captivated by the stunning views of Padar Island on XHS, and this time, I made a special trip from Lombok via Bali to Komodo.

🩵My five-day stay in Komodo was an unforgettable experience, with the one-day tour being the absolute highlight. The breathtaking beauty of Komodo is etched in my memory forever!

🌈The one-day tour was a whirlwind of six stops, each one more surprising and enchanting than the last!

First stop📍 Padar Island [p1-5]
It felt like stepping into a real-life Zelda game! The panoramic views were simply breathtaking. The climb to the top took over 30 minutes, and even with average stamina, I almost succumbed to the heat. To stay cool, I climbed in a bikini but ended up with a nasty sunburn. The UV rays in Indonesia are no joke, so make sure to slather on that sunscreen!

Second stop📍 Pink Beach [6-11]
The guide set our expectations straight: “It’s close to pink, not the vibrant shade you see in photos after color correction.” Indeed, it was a subtle, light pink, and we even spotted deer strolling along the beach. The shells were incredibly beautiful (but remember, don’t take them away!)

Third stop📍 Komodo National Park [p12-13]
Finally, I got to see live Komodo dragons up close! The park is also home to deer and water buffaloes. Someone asked what Komodo dragons eat, and the guide nonchalantly replied, “Deer and water buffaloes.” So, they eat their neighbors? 😅

By the way, 🎫 the entrance fee is 400K, which is not included in the tour fee, and needs to be given to the guide before setting out.

Fourth stop📍 Makasar Reef Snorkeling [p14-16]
From afar, we saw a magical white and yellow sandbank in the middle of the sea. The guide explained that it becomes a submerged beach during high tide, adding to its mystique!

The water was crystal clear, like a glass sea! We even encountered a baby shark! The guide took us on a thrilling chase, making it an unforgettable experience!
Fifth stop📍 Manta Point [p17-18]
To see the mantas, I had specifically gotten my AOW certification in Nusa Penida, but only saw one. In Komodo, however, this affordable one-day tour offered a spectacular show of dozens of mantas!
As soon as we arrived at the dive site, the guide excitedly shouted, “Jump in quickly!” I was awestruck by the sight of dozens of mantas, some even opening their mouths to feed on small fish. It was the most exhilarating snorkeling experience of my life!
Sixth stop📍 Coral Dive Site Siaba Island
The waves were quite rough that day, and even with fins, it was challenging to move forward. For safety, we stayed for a while and then returned to the boat. Despite the rough conditions, the visibility was excellent, and the corals were absolutely stunning!
🕘 Schedule & Sunscreen Reminder
– Departure at 6:00 → Return to the dock at 16:00, a 9-hour journey, moderately intense, a bit tiring, but incredibly rewarding!
– The UV rays in Indonesia are extremely strong, so don’t skimp on the sunscreen! (I learned the hard way, with a painful sunburn that left my shoulders burning for days 😭)
🌟 I never expected to have such an amazing time for just 1200k, and I will definitely return!
✨I spoke to the owner and secured a discounted price for everyone, 1100k!! (Entrance fee 400k to be paid separately)
