Discover the Breathtaking Sewu Waterfall Near Surabaya, Indonesia 🇲🇨
Our itinerary included two volcanoes 🌋 and a waterfall. Initially, I didn’t have high expectations for the waterfall; I just wanted to take a quick look. However, I never imagined that it would turn out to be such an exhilarating experience!

The last picture is of the hotel we stayed at. This time, we booked a 4-day, 3-night package on a popular e-commerce platform, so the hotel was part of the deal and not something we had to find ourselves. Sewu Waterfall is conveniently located just a 5-minute drive from the hotel.

I must say, before traveling, it’s absolutely essential to check out Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book); it’s incredibly useful! This time, I did my homework in advance and learned that wearing water shoes was a must. After searching high and low, I couldn’t find a pair I liked, and they were all quite pricey.

I hesitated, thinking it might be a waste if I didn’t use them again. Then, I came across a tip from a Xiaohongshu blogger: buy a pair of 【liberation shoes】!!! Highlight this point! It was a game-changer. As you can see in my previous video, we were constantly climbing up and down, including through water.

The 25 RMB liberation shoes were a lifesaver! They are so comfortable and very slip-resistant! I highly recommend everyone to buy a pair in advance and bring them along.

I must give a shout-out to our Sewu guide; he was incredibly entertaining and even more enthusiastic about taking photos than we were, snapping away until we begged him to stop [laughing with tears]. He was also very responsible, ensuring everyone’s safety. As soon as we entered the forest, he picked some apples from a tree for us. It was my first time eating an apple right off the tree, and it was delicious!

Although it wasn’t my first time seeing a waterfall, the experience at Sewu felt more immersive and the environment was fantastic. We had a blast!

If you’re planning a trip to Surabaya, definitely consider adding this adventure to your itinerary. It’s totally worth it!
