Today is truly a day filled with blessings! It’s not just Valentine’s Day and the God of Wealth Day, but also my lunar birthday. After a 90-minute flight from Bali to Surabaya, I checked into the hotel at 7 PM. At 12:30 AM, the driver and guide woke me up, and by 3:20 AM, we finally arrived at the base of the mountain.
In the pitch-black night, I climbed alongside people from all over the world. There were many Chinese visitors during the spring break, and the melodious sounds of Mandarin could be heard everywhere, making it feel like a climb up Huangshan. We reached the summit at 4:20 AM and patiently waited for the sun to rise.
They say that coming to Bromo to see the sunrise during the rainy season is a big gamble, but I was incredibly fortunate to witness the most breathtaking sunrise amid the volcanic eruption!
