Discover the Unmissable Century-Old Hotel in Surabaya, Indonesia π²π¨ for Unique Stays
After four exhilarating days on the special forces itinerary, we finally arrived in the vibrant city of Surabaya. We chose to stay at the historic Hotel Majapahit, a place with a storied past spanning over a century. Despite some mixed reviews on Xiaohongshu, our experience here was nothing short of exceptional. The value for money is outstanding, and the comfort level was truly impressive.

One of the highlights of our stay was the hotel’s excellent massage services. After days of rigorous hiking and wading, our bodies were in dire need of relaxation. We indulged in two consecutive days of spa treatments, which left us feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. I highly recommend making a reservation as soon as you check in to secure your spot.

The hotel’s infrastructure is top-notch, and I particularly enjoyed the charming Nanyang style. It reminded me of the iconic Raffles in Singapore, but at a fraction of the cost, which was a delightful surprise [laughing].

Just a stone’s throw away from the hotel is the bustling Tunjungan Street, a lively area that comes alive at night. The streets are filled with people, creating a safe and vibrant atmosphere. It’s also conveniently close to SOGO, making it perfect for a leisurely Citywalk.

Initially, I had low expectations for Surabaya, but after visiting the local zoo and discovering two fantastic cafes, I realized there’s much more to this city than meets the eye. Our stay turned out to be a wonderfully relaxing break, perfectly alleviating the fatigue from the previous four days. Feeling fully recharged, we headed back to Singapore with fond memories.
