Discover the Wonders of Komodo: Best Travel Tips and Experiences
Sun, sand, and Komodo! The most enchanting parts of Komodo are found on the sea and at sunset.

📍Sunset Spot: La Cecile Komodo Hotel and Cafe

Moments after touching down, I asked my driver for a top spot to catch the sunset. He directed me to this gem, where I was treated to a breathtaking view. The serene atmosphere, enhanced by the distant chanting, made it feel like my soul was being lifted…

For a more luxurious experience, AYANA Komodo Waecicu Beach is a must-visit. Not only is it stunning, but you can also enjoy a sumptuous dinner while taking in the sunset.

📍Komodo One Day Tour

Following a recommendation from a Little Red Book diary, I connected with a local guide, and that day turned out to be an unforgettable adventure (Photos 10-15).
– Padar Island

A must-see destination. While the heat can be intense, especially on weekends when locals flock to the island, the early morning climb is well worth it. Leaving the hotel at 6 AM or earlier is recommended to avoid the midday sun. The locals are incredibly skilled photographers, and I ended up with some of the best photos of my life! (Photos 1-3) Along the way, people even asked to take photos with me, which added to the fun and laughter…

– Pink Beach

It was decent, though not as impressive as I had imagined. Perhaps a drone would capture its true beauty better! (Photos 4-5)
– Takamakasar
Absolutely stunning! The water is a mesmerizing shade of blue, and the area is small and charming. (Photos 6-9)
– Komodo Village
Instead of visiting Komodo Park, I opted for this village, which felt incredibly authentic! I spotted a total of nine Komodo dragons, including a tiny newborn. The whole village has an otherworldly, magical vibe. (Photo 10)
– Siaba
This spot is perfect for turtle sightings! The water is crystal clear, making it ideal for strong swimmers. Bringing your own snorkeling gear is recommended for hygiene and convenience.
📍City & Food
The city of Komodo itself doesn’t offer much in terms of activities… The food is generally average, but the local barbecue and seafood are definitely worth trying. Using Grab for food delivery to your hotel is a convenient and hassle-free option.
