Discover Yogyakarta: Best Cultural Experiences and Travel Tips π²π¨
After a blissful week of unwinding in Bali, I spontaneously decided to venture to Jogja. Over a decade ago, during my first trip to Indonesia, I had always dreamt of visiting this place, but the opportunity never arose. This time, with Bali just an hour’s flight away, it felt like the perfect moment to finally make that journey.

I booked tours to Borobudur and Prambanan, though they didn’t quite match the awe-inspiring grandeur of Angkor Wat. Nevertheless, the overall charm of the city and its rich cultural tapestry left a lasting impression. The locals were incredibly warm and welcoming, adding to the delightful experience.

However, the air, tinged with volcanic ash, was a bit of a challenge for me, as I am quite sensitive to it.
