Discovering Indonesia: A Journey Through Three Unforgettable Visits
Day 1: SG✈️Yogyakarta
📍Waterfall, lunch in the rice fields, sunset at Prambanan
➡️ Kick off your adventure by heading straight from the airport to a breathtaking waterfall or a serene water palace. ➡️ Next, make your way to the majestic Prambanan (Photos 5-7) for an unforgettable experience.
➡️ Along the way, savor a delicious meal at a local restaurant nestled among the lush rice fields, perfect for capturing some stunning photos (Photos 2-4).

➡️ After a short rest, head to Prambanan to snap some photos and soak in the golden hour as the sun sets. Return 🔙 to your hotel afterwards, filled with memories of the day.

Day 2: 📍Jomblang Cave & Timang Beach
🕙 Start your day early at 7:30 AM, and head to Jomblang Cave, which requires advance booking due to its limited daily visitor capacity. Known as the “Light of God,” this 60-meter deep pit is accessed via a thrilling manual rope pulley system 🪢.
When you witness the so-called “Light of God,” you’ll understand the magic of the Tyndall effect, where light seems to take on a tangible form (Photos 1, 8).

After a satisfying lunch, your next stop is the picturesque Timang Beach—Tianwang Island, a location featured in the popular variety show Running Man (Photos 9-12).
There are two exciting ways to reach the island: ➡️ 1st: A walking cable car, and 2nd: A manually operated gondola (Photo 11). These are run by different companies, so if you want to try both, you’ll need to purchase separate full tickets.

Day 3: Sunrise at the foot of Mount Merapi & Kedung Kayang to see both the waterfall and volcano 🌋 & Borobudur
Depart at 3:30 AM, and after a one-hour drive, arrive at the jeep location. From there, venture to the foot of the active Mount Merapi to catch the sunrise! Though, sometimes, even the best-laid plans can be thwarted by the weather, and you might miss the sunrise and a clear view of the volcano 👀.

Mount Merapi is a highly active volcano, with its most recent eruption in March 2023, and a major one in 2010!
Whether you can see both the waterfall and the volcano at Kedung Kayang depends on luck, but sitting on the viewing platform and enjoying some music is a relaxing way to spend the morning (Photos 13-15).

The final stop of the day is the awe-inspiring Borobudur (Photos 15-18), one of the Seven Wonders of the World. You’ll need to change into straw sandals provided by the site (Photo 15).
In the remaining time, explore the vibrant Malioboro Street, where you can find unique souvenirs and local delicacies.
