Unconsciously, I’ve been in Indonesia for almost a year, from the scariest time of the “Southeast Asian kidney theft” to now, where I can say I know Jakarta better than some locals.
The opportunity to work abroad is like opening a new chapter in life.
.
I believe many people have their own considerations and weigh the pros and cons when deciding whether to work abroad.

But no matter what we choose, the choice itself is a kind of “gain and loss.”
After all, there are already many B-station hosts who have analyzed the material and superficial pros and cons of working abroad. I just want to share some heartfelt words with friends who are struggling with whether to work abroad.

1️⃣ If you have an restless heart, are dissatisfied with your current life in the country, and always want to see a bigger world, if you have the chance, please try working abroad‼️
Because of your curiosity, even if you experience a temporary period of discomfort, language barriers, lack of friends, and inconvenient transportation, you won’t feel it as a burden.

You will see it as a “novel experience” rather than a “torture.” After all, passion can withstand the test of time.

2️⃣ If you can adapt to the idea that “the greatest change is change itself” and not just pursue stability, if you have the chance, please try working abroad‼️
Because companies that send employees abroad are either large domestic enterprises expanding overseas or new startups focusing on international markets.

In either case, the work environment and pace overseas will require more flexibility and quick integration into the local culture. You need to deconstruct and integrate while maintaining your professional skills, to blend with the local market and colleagues.
If you simply transfer the management systems and requirements from the domestic context directly to the overseas setting, you will only face frustration.

Therefore, this process of “deconstruction and creation” itself is a sense of achievement, making you feel that life is always full of new challenges, new opportunities, and new glories.

3️⃣ If you want to have more “first-time” experiences in your life and treat the world as a 🎡 playground, if you have the chance, please try working abroad‼️
Because you will find that your life suddenly has many “firsts”:
The first time not understanding the local language and using body language to communicate with the local team.

The first time celebrating a birthday, a holiday, or the New Year overseas.
The first time trying local entertainment.
The first time diving.
The first time climbing a volcano, the first time watching dolphins.
The first and countless times watching the sunset by the sea…

Before you know it, time flies by.

I don’t know how long I’ll stay in Jakarta, but I do know that I enjoy every moment here. Why haven’t I talked about 💰?

When you wholeheartedly choose the path that resonates with your passions, and you find both success in your career and fulfillment in your life, financial rewards naturally follow. 💰
