Discovering the Unique Komodo Dragon: A Must-See in Komodo Island π²π¨π
Komodo National Park is a true haven for dragon enthusiasts, offering an up-close and personal experience with the magnificent Komodo dragons! π¦

The guides here are not only highly professional but also incredibly helpful. They go out of their way to assist you in capturing the perfect photos, showcasing their exceptional photography skills and an eye for the best angles.

After just a short hike of less than a kilometer, we were thrilled to encounter a baby Komodo dragon and two medium-sized ones. Our guide’s English was impeccable, and his humorous commentary added a delightful touch to the adventure. The park is also home to numerous wild boars π and chickens π, which our guide jokingly referred to as his breakfast and lunch, while playfully suggesting that the tourists might be on the menu for dinner.

During the tour, it’s essential to maintain a quiet demeanor. Surprisingly, the Komodo dragons are quite accustomed to human presence, and there’s rarely any sudden, aggressive behavior. If, by chance, one does attempt to attack, the guide advises running in a zigzag pattern to throw them off your trail.

Outside the park, you’ll find a variety of souvenir shops brimming with unique items. Be prepared to haggle, as the prices can be quite steep. We managed to snag some adorable small Komodo dragon fridge magnets for 50,000 each after some spirited negotiation.

At the end of the tour, we showed our appreciation with a tip. It’s customary to tip the guide based on your satisfaction and personal circumstances, ensuring they continue to provide such excellent service.
