Explore Bromo Volcano: Earth’s Moon-Like Landscape Adventure 🌋
The Bromo volcano, which skyrocketed to fame after gracing the cover of Lonely Planet, has always been a dream destination for me. When I ascended to the peak of the opposite mountain under the cover of night and beheld the pitted surface, the vast sea of sand, the continuously erupting crater, and the first rays of sunlight illuminating the unique volcanic landscape at dawn, it felt as if I had been transported to the moon, delivering an overwhelmingly powerful visual experience.

🔖 Shooting Tips:
🔺 Image 1: The forest beneath the wooden walkway of the highest Penanjakan viewing platform. In the early morning, taking a jeep can lead to traffic jams; it’s recommended to hike up the mountain path from the village for about an hour or take a motorcycle to the Penanjakan viewing platform early in the morning (Image 6 provides a detailed hiking route map).
🔺 Image 2: A stunning aerial shot of the Bromo crater (for those who cannot walk, horse rides are available to the foot of the crater).
🔺 Image 3: The highest Penanjakan viewing platform (there’s a chance to capture the ethereal sea of clouds over the village; it’s suggested to head to the viewing platform after shooting Image 1).
🔺 Image 4: The mesmerizing sand sea under the volcano (it’s recommended to visit after sunrise; light-colored jeeps make for more photogenic shots).
🔺 Image 5: The iconic tree near the King Kong Hill viewing platform, where crowds gather and queuing for photos is common (there will be fewer people at sunset compared to sunrise).
