🫧Sewu Waterfall
Known as the “thousand-layer waterfall,” multiple cascades form simultaneously in a semicircular area, with the majestic Mount Semeru, Java’s highest peak, serving as a breathtaking backdrop.

✨The roads around the volcano are chaotic and in poor condition; it’s easy to get lost at night, so self-driving is highly discouraged ❌
✨It gets extremely cold when you reach the summit for viewing at 3 AM; if you don’t have thick clothes, you can rent them for 20K per piece
✨The best viewing spot is at the highest point, but the platform can get crowded.
Your guide can lead you over the railing to the grass below, offering a more private and unobstructed view
✨After watching the sunrise, take the small path to the right of the platform down to capture those popular photos with trees in the foreground. On the way down, there will be stops at viewpoints for more photo opportunities

🌪️I must praise our local guide, Sandy Kho, who was the absolute highlight of this Indonesian trip.
First, his English is excellent, allowing for seamless communication, and he is meticulous and patient, showing great dedication. Secondly, his driving skills are superb. Whether traveling from Surabaya to anywhere or between Sewu and Bromo, the trips took about 4-5 hours, and he drove very steadily, maintaining a consistent speed, both on mountain roads and highways!
