Traveling by bus in Bali is a pleasant experience, with less crowded, air-conditioned buses and friendly drivers. The only downside is that it might be a bit slower than a private car due to the stops along the way.

You can check the routes on Google Maps (note that it hasn’t been updated for August yet). Alternatively, download the [Mitra Darat] app, which provides comprehensive information:

– Image 7️⃣: Zoom in to see the detailed route.

– K2B: Connects the airport to Ubud via K4B.
– K5B: Covers Jimbaran, Kuta, and Sanur.

– As shown in Image 9️⃣, enter the bus number in Google to see the entire route and approximate arrival time (Google Maps isn’t updated, but it’s still useful).

‼️How do you pay for the bus?
**Option 1:**
– Purchase an e-money card (available at Indo Maret, Alfamart, or the Kuta Bus Terminal) for 50,000 Indonesian Rupiah (approximately 25 yuan).
– ✅ Can be used for bus fare and tolls.
– Can be recharged at convenience stores.
– Unused balance can be spent at convenience stores.
– ⚠️ One card per person on the bus.
– ⚠️ Unlimited use on toll roads.

**Option 2:**
– Download the Gojek app.
– Top up at convenience stores like Indo Maret or Alfamart.
– Or have a Gojek driver help you top up.

– ✅ Can be used for ride-hailing and food delivery.
– Gojek scan-to-pay can be used unlimited times.

‼️How much does the bus cost?
The fare is 4,400 Indonesian Rupiah. Transfers require additional payment. For example, if you take K5B from Sanur to Jimbaran, it first goes to Kuta, which is both the end and starting point, so you need to transfer and pay again.

    I’m planning a trip to Bali next year and this post was super helpful! It’s good to know about the new K6B route addition, but I hope the suspension doesn’t cause too many disruptions.
