Komodo Dragon Island One-Day Tour: Expert Guide to Avoid Common Pitfalls 🦎🏞️
Hi everyone, finally found the time to organize this Komodo trip. Today, I’m sharing a day trip full of surprises. This time, we saw Komodo dragons, deer, and even went snorkeling with manta rays. I’ve compiled a practical guide, and friends can directly copy the homework [secretly observing R].

📌Day tour🏝
Prioritize walk-in, as it’s much cheaper than online. There are fast boats and slow boats; the former is a bit more expensive but has fewer people and better service. We chose the highly-rated Red Whale, which offers a one-day tour for 145k, and we negotiated it down to 130k. The speedboat holds up to 17 people and comes with a restroom, which is very convenient. It includes lunch, round-trip transportation, and free cold drinks and snacks.

🚩Itinerary for the day tour
⛰️Padar Island📸 A real-life version of Zelda’s island, like an earthly Eden. You can see wild deer upon arrival. Climbing to the top on a sunny day can be quite tiring, as some paths are steep, so it’s safer to wear sneakers.
🏖Pink Beach🌊 The pink color is visible to the naked eye and looks even pinker with sunglasses.

It’s suitable for swimming and taking photos, with clear and beautiful seawater.
⛰️Komodo Island🦎 The famous Komodo dragons live here. The island is home to various wildlife such as wild boars and Timor deer. Our hiking tour lasted about 2 hours, during which we saw over 10 Komodo dragons, from babies to adults.

Lunch was also provided here, with options of chicken or fish, and it was delicious and filling (see photo 10).
🫧🏖Takara Makassar This is a small snorkeling island in the sea, where the water is various shades of blue. Snorkeling here feels like diving into a pool of seawater, with thousands of small silver fish around you, providing a fantastic experience.

🫧🌊Manta Point It’s not easy to see wild manta rays this season, but our dive guide spotted one near us right after we got in the water! A 3-meter-long manta ray circled around us for over half an hour, not wanting to leave. Seeing it in person, you’ll be captivated by its elegance.
🫧🌊Turtle Bay This is the last snorkeling spot!

The shore has stunning coral and fish, with excellent visibility. If you love playing in the water, you won’t be disappointed [party R].
