Tips
⚠️ Ensure you exchange for Indonesian Rupiah at a bank in advance, as electronic payment facilities here are not well-developed, and only cash or card payments are accepted. It’s recommended to exchange around 1,000 RMB per person into Indonesian Rupiah. If that’s not enough, bring a card to withdraw locally (with a fee)
Change to a local Indonesian SIM card after landing, as the signal is better, and set up roaming to facilitate filling out forms
Contact the pre-arranged guide to wait at the exit (it’s best to hold a sign for easy identification)
Avoid drinking tap water; buy bottled water from convenience stores, which is affordable.
