Mount Bromo Eruption Update: Latest News and Travel Safety Tips
I barely managed to catch two hours of sleep last night. We set off at midnight, embarking on our journey up the mountain by car. Midway through, we switched to a rugged jeep, and it felt like an eternity—almost three hours—before we finally reached the peak. By then, I was completely drained, and the darkness still enveloped us.

We stepped out of the jeep and hiked for about ten minutes, our breaths visible in the crisp, cold air. The summit was bustling with people, and the chill was more intense than I had anticipated. Foolishly, I had removed the inner lining of my jacket, thinking it wouldn’t be that cold, but I was wrong.

I shivered uncontrollably, my teeth chattering. Despite the discomfort, the moment was magical. It started raining in the early morning, and I feared there would be no sunrise. But luck was on our side; the rain ceased, and we were rewarded with a breathtakingly beautiful sunrise.
