NARS Surabaya Eyeshadow Swatch and Review: See the Stunning Eye Look

I recently splurged on four NARS dual-color eyeshadows and decided to give one of the palettes a whirl today. At nearly $300, these little beauties are quite an investment, but the quality of the powder is exceptional, and the shades are absolutely stunning. In the main photo, you can see the swatch on my eyes; I applied the first shade all over the eyelid and blended the second shade at the outer corner.

After finishing, I noticed that the second shade appears lighter than the first. Ideally, it should be the lighter shade on the lid and the darker shade blended outwards. I’ll switch them up tomorrow and see how that goes.

Overall, these colors are perfect for autumn and winter, with a rich, deep palette that’s easy to work with. Just be sure not to go overboard! In the main photo, I only used the eyeshadow—no eyeliner or mascara. It might seem a bit bare, but I still think it looks fabulous, hahaha. I’ve always found dual-color eyeshadows to be the most convenient, as they take the guesswork out of color matching and are incredibly simple to apply. Plus, they’re compact and travel-friendly.

For my base makeup, I used CPB long tube primer, WNW foundation, and DEAR DARA loose powder. The lipstick is from the TF Boys series in shade 28, which is absolutely gorgeous and highly recommended. The last two photos are full-face shots. I was heading out for dinner, so I didn’t put too much effort into them, hahaha. All photos were taken with the rear camera of my iPhone 6s.
