1. The ferry operates 24/7, giving you the flexibility to travel at any time that suits you.
2. Just across from the port, you’ll find an Alfamarket. Pop in and ask the cashier to help you buy a ticket. They will charge a small service fee of 2000 IDR (less than 1 RMB), and the ticket itself costs 10500 IDR.

3. Be cautious about letting anyone handle your luggage, as they may charge you a fee at the end.
4. Once you disembark, head to the bus station on the opposite side to catch a ride to Denpasar. From there, you can easily take a bus to popular destinations like Ubud, Kuta, or Canggu. Some travelers prefer to get off at Mengwi and then take a taxi to Ubud.

It’s up to you, but I checked the bus routes, and even if you get off at Mengwi and continue by bus to Ubud, it will still pass through Denpasar. If you opt for a taxi, it will bypass Denpasar entirely.

The most important thing!!! To save you money!!! Take notes!!! 🤌
🌟The bus fare from Gilimanuk port to Denpasar should be 50000 IDR for locals, but when you inquire, they might quote 100000 IDR. I’ve seen other travelers mention 100000 IDR, so I initially paid that amount too!
In reality, the person quoting the price takes a cut, and the driver collects the actual fare near Mengwi.

Whether you get off at Mengwi or Denpasar, the fare is essentially 50000 IDR (less than 25 RMB).
🌟🌟The main takeaway here is to negotiate firmly. Don’t just hand over 100000 IDR because they ask for it. You can also talk directly to the driver. Even if you give the driver an extra 20000 IDR, it’s still better than paying an additional 50000 IDR.
