Best Kenya Safari Accommodation: Ultimate Guide for Wildlife Lovers
[Weeding R] Stay at Kibo in Amboseli
Location: Kibo is outside the park, about a ten-minute drive from the park.
Hotel Environment: Tent hotel, with a jungle tent feel, the environment is very good. There are spots in the hotel where you can see Mount Kilimanjaro.
Dining: The food is good, it was the best-tasting hotel throughout the trip.
Facilities: Power outages occur frequently, there is no WiFi or signal in the rooms, and the hot water is not very stable.

[Weeding R] Stay at Lake Naivasha Resort in Naivasha
Hotel Environment: The external environment of the hotel is very good, it looks like a garden villa, the restaurant faces Lake Naivasha, and it’s said that hippos come ashore at night.
Room Environment: Average
Dining: Buffet, the taste is okay, but there are fewer options compared to Kibo.
Facilities: WiFi signal is average.

[Weeding R] Stay at Lake Nakuru Lodge in Nakuru
Hotel Environment: Very good, there are wild baboons in the hotel, and many geckos. The restaurant faces Lake Nakuru, with a great view.
Room Environment: Average, the bed is small, and the bed in our room made noise.
Dining: Buffet, the taste is okay, but there are not many options.

Facilities: The WiFi and mobile signals in the room are poor. One night, the four of us went to the bar to drink just to have internet access to use our phones [Disappointed R].

[Weeding R] First night in Maasai Mara stay at Neptune Mara Rianta (Neptune)
This was the most anticipated hotel of the trip, and also the quietest and least crowded one we stayed at.
Hotel Environment: Tent-style hotel, in the jungle, very primitive and natural. Across from the tent is the Mara River, with many hippos, and you can always hear the sounds of hippos, birds, and various environmental white noises.

Occasionally, you can see deer grazing near the tent.
Dining: A la carte, the service is extremely slow, but the taste is okay.
Room Environment: Very good, very spacious, and the only hotel with disposable amenities.
Facilities: Water was cut off for a while, the voltage is stable, and the WiFi signal is 👍🏻.

Night Safari: We chose this hotel for the night safari. We did a night safari near the hotel and saw hippos, herds of elephants, wildebeests, rabbits, and a lone female lion. I read that it costs $115 per person, but when we asked, it was $170, saying that the price increased by $50 for service fees this year.

We negotiated with the local guide, and they got it down to $150 per person [Disappointed R]. For those who choose this hotel for the night safari, please check the price carefully.

[Weeding R] Spend the final two nights of your Maasai Mara adventure at Keekork, a hidden gem that will leave you enchanted.
Hotel Environment: The ambiance here is truly exceptional, with breathtaking views, especially as the sun sets. A highlight is the hippo viewing platform, where a leisurely evening stroll offers a magical experience, framed by the golden hues of the sunset.
Dining: Unfortunately, the culinary experience fell short of expectations [Disappointed R]. The flavors and presentation did not quite match the high standards set by the rest of the hotel.
Room Environment: The rooms, while cozy, are on the smaller side. The sleeping arrangement features two single beds pushed together to form a double, which might be a bit puzzling for some guests.
Facilities: You’ll find the essentials well taken care of, with stable voltage, consistent water pressure, and a reliable WiFi signal 👍🏻, ensuring a comfortable stay.
