Ultimate Elephant Safari Itinerary: Kenya & Tanzania Wildlife Adventure Guide

The 9-day, 8-night East Africa itinerary booked two months in advance, sharing some tips on the Kenya and Tanzania itinerary and accommodations~

[Recommended] Day 1: Chengdu – transit in Ethiopia – Nairobi, arriving near Amboseli National Park, accommodation: Kibo Safari Camp
[Recommended] Day 2: A full day of safari in Amboseli National Park, still staying at Kibo
[Recommended] Day 3: Amboseli – Namanga, entering Tanzania by land, Tanzanian visa can be processed at the border, visit several wildlife areas in the afternoon, accommodation: Airport Planet Lodge
[Recommended] Day 4: Tarangire National Park, accommodation: Tarangire Safari Lodge, night safari after dinner, a very fulfilling experience
[Recommended] Day 5: Central Serengeti, check-in at Kon Tiki Serengeti Camp
[Recommended] Day 6: Northern Serengeti, check-in at Intimate Camp Zebra
[Recommended] Day 7: Central Serengeti, check-in at Kon Tiki Serengeti Camp
[Recommended] Day 8: Ngorongoro Conservation Area, check-in at Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp
[Recommended] Day 9: Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Kilimanjaro Airport – Ethiopia – Chengdu

This is roughly the itinerary. Since we wanted to see Mount Kilimanjaro, we specifically went to [Plane] Kenya, but unfortunately, due to bad weather, we didn’t get to see the famous scene of the mountain, trees, and elephants together. Friends with similar ideas should consider this. We did not use a domestic travel agency but instead found a local one, which was cheaper, but communication was not very smooth when problems arose, and solutions were slow, so I won’t recommend it.

[Camping Light] In terms of accommodation, we stayed at six camps in total. The accommodations in Africa were better than expected, and the higher prices are justified! [Thumbs Up] I would particularly recommend Kibo and Tarangire Safari Lodge, [Sigh] and the least recommended is Intimate Camp Zebra, where the room WiFi didn’t work, and there was no mobile signal.
