Unveiling My 10-Day Adventure in Kenya: The Untold Stories and Secrets Revealed
✨Since it was my first time going to a place as far as Kenya and I wanted to have a great time, I considered a lot at the beginning: hotels, routes, attractions… It was overwhelming. Going by myself would definitely be more free, but I was quite scared of taking on all the risks. Joining a tour group is more convenient, as you don’t have to worry about the details of planning and routes.

After this trip, I feel that Kenya is really worth it, a must-visit in one’s lifetime! Please keep this guide handy.

【✈Itinerary】
D1: Fly to Kenya, felt too excited to sleep much on the plane at night
D2: Arrived in Nairobi early in the morning, went to Amboseli in the afternoon, perfect connection, the view of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, is truly spectacular!

D3: In the morning, visited the 【Amboseli National Park】 mainly to see the elephant herds. In the afternoon, went to the 【Giraffe Park】, where you can see a tall and gentle giraffe right at the entrance. If you call it, it will turn its head and eat the food from your hand, very gentle, and you can even pet its head.

D4: The animal orphanage inside the Fairmont at 【Mount Kenya】 is absolutely heart-melting, with super cute cheetahs. The animals in the 【Sweetwaters Park】 can get really close, and along the reserve, you can see a protected blind black rhino that responds to human calls.
D5: At 【Lake Nakuru】🦩, the most worthwhile animals to see are the rhinos🦏, as they are among the hardest to spot of the Big Five in Africa.

D6: At 【Lake Elmenteita】, thousands of 🦩 flying together is truly spectacular🥹. At 【Lake Naivasha】, you can take a boat to the island and get up close to zebras, wildebeests, and giraffes. The animals on the island are not very afraid of people, making it perfect for photos.
D7: At the 【Maasai Mara Reserve】, our female guide was excellent at finding animals and very talkative.

My travel companion helped take many beautiful photos, haha, and we also visited a Maasai village on the way.
D8: Mainly around the 【Mara River】, we encountered many zebras, lions, cheetahs, and antelopes… In the afternoon, we had a special hiking experience near the river, with a local guide providing full protection, which made me feel very safe, haha.

D9: Spent some time exploring Nairobi on my own, getting a feel for the capital city.
D10: Headed home

【Tour Experience】
The entire trip was in five-star hotels, and we even stayed two nights inside the Maasai Mara park, allowing us more time to see the animals. Although it can’t compare to the developed areas in China, it far exceeded my expectations, although the food was just average.

The tour fee was 26,000 RMB, and I found it incredibly cost-effective, as it allowed me to visit every destination on my wishlist. However, since the trip took place in May, I missed out on witnessing the spectacular migration, which was a bit of a letdown.
Overall, the experience was still immensely rewarding. That’s all for now. If you have any questions about traveling to Kenya or need more details, feel free to reach out to me anytime.
