I was surprised to discover that even though mid to late April is well past peak cherry blossom season, accommodation prices remain shockingly high! [crying][crying] Most hostel dorm beds are priced at 200 or above, with many already completely booked out [facepalm].
What’s even more astonishing? Those highly recommended hotels that normally cost 200-300 have skyrocketed to 600, 700, 800, or even 900 per night [shocked][shocked]. This price surge is making budget travel nearly impossible during what should be the shoulder season!
Yeah, the pricing is crazy during this time. I wish I knew sooner; maybe I’d consider a different season for visiting. Airbnb might be an option but still pricey.
