The top of the hill is rich in negative oxygen ions and offers a panoramic view of Penang. It’s great for watching the sunrise or enjoying the night view. When I went, I even encountered some cute little monkeys 🐒.

📍Mural Street: A paradise for art lovers! The murals in Armenian Street are full of stories, such as the Swing and the Basketball Court, each one with intricate details, perfect for taking photos.
📍Clan Jetties: An early Chinese settlement, where stilt houses line up along the water according to different surnames, exuding a strong Nanyang flavor.

Here, you can feel the atmosphere of the old Chinese life in Nanyang.

Penang being called the “Food Capital” is no exaggeration!
🥘Bak Kut Teh: With a clay pot flavor, eating at street-side stalls is very atmospheric. Enjoy the meat while savoring the broth infused with herbal flavors, it has a unique taste.
🍜Kway Teow Soup: Smooth and silky kway teow, paired with duck meat, pork slices, and handmade eel balls, simple yet extremely delicious.

Having a bowl for breakfast fills you with happiness.
🍧Chendol: My favorite! The perfect blend of coconut milk and palm sugar, with soft red beans, and pandan-flavored glutinous rice flour jelly, the mix of sweet and salty in the cold dessert makes you fall in love at first bite.

There are many Chinese people here, most of whom speak Mandarin and dialects, so communication is not a problem, and they are super friendly! Penang is a city that blends multiple cultures. Walking on the streets, you can see European buildings, Chinese temples, mosques, and Indian temples, experiencing the collision of different cultures.

If you stay in Georgetown, most attractions are within walking distance. For farther places, using Grab for a ride is very convenient and relatively affordable.
