Discover the Best First Time Diving Experience in Perhentian Islands 🤿🇲🇾

This time we went to Perhentian Island.

We drove from Johor
I highly recommend flying if time allows
Driving is really exhausting. We drove at midnight and it was raining,
The road conditions were very poor and the journey was very dark, it was quite dangerous.

Thankfully, we arrived safely at the jetty: Jeti Kuala Besut
Friends who flew arrived a day earlier
They said that because it was close to closing, the grocery stores didn’t restock
We brought our own snacks, instant noodles, alcohol, and mineral water into the island 😂
You can contact the dive shop when you arrive at the jetty
Locals need to pay RM10 per person at the jetty
The boat ride takes 45 minutes.

When you arrive, hand your luggage over to the resort staff
We brought our own equipment, and the dive shop is a bit far from the jetty
So we asked the dive shop to send a small boat to help us transport it

San Choi Wreck 👍
Sugar Ship Wreck👍
Pulau Serenggeh

The San Choi Wreck is really beautiful😍, great for taking photos
When we went to the Sugar Ship, we encountered zero visibility. As soon as we went down, we couldn’t see anything
It was a bit scary at the time. We honked and turned on our flashlights, and the DM found us
With the flashlight on, we could still feel the grandeur of the place
If the visibility was good, it would definitely be even more beautiful

At night, the beach was almost all foreigners
Drinking and chatting, occasionally getting away from city life is quite nice
If there’s a next time, I’d choose to fly instead of driving 🤣
