Discover Visa-Free Malaysia: Your Ultimate First Overseas Trip Guide 🚀
There’s a world of wonders to explore in Malaysia, and I’m thrilled to share my journey with you! After meticulous planning and an unforgettable trip, I’ve put together this comprehensive guide. Let’s dive into the adventure!
🌈 Pre-trip Preparation Checklist
✅ Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months, undamaged, and unaltered.

✅ Fill out the MDAC entry card up to 3 days before your departure. For added convenience, use the Chinese version of Hu Yi Qian, which can be completed 30 days in advance. Check the image for detailed instructions.
✅ Have supporting documents ready (electronic versions are acceptable) – hotel reservation (if not booked, provide the intended address), and return flight itinerary.

✨ Malaysia is divided into two main regions: West Malaysia and East Malaysia. West Malaysia is a treasure trove of culture and history, with highlights like Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Malacca. East Malaysia, on the other hand, boasts stunning natural beauty, including Semporna and Langkawi.
📜 City Features:
🟡 Semporna – A renowned resort with crystal-clear waters that shimmer like glass.

Taking a boat ride here feels like floating on a serene, azure mirror.
🟢 Langkawi – Home to lush, ancient tropical rainforests, where hundreds of eagles soar and dive through the sky. Feeding the eagles is a unique, lesser-known experience that few have discovered.
🔵 Penang – A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Penang is a melting pot of Nanyang, European, and Chinese architectural styles, exuding a rich cultural ambiance.

🟤 Malacca – The oldest city in Malaysia, Malacca is a historical gem, famously mentioned in geography textbooks. It was a key stop for Zheng He during his voyages to the Western Seas.
🟠 Kuala Lumpur – The dazzling capital of Malaysia, a vibrant metropolis that seamlessly blends modern and traditional, Eastern and Western cultures.

【Travel Tips】
⚠️ Use the Grab app for taxis and food delivery, but make sure to bind your phone number in advance to receive verification codes in Malaysia.
⚠️ Alipay is your best bet for daily payments. Different membership levels offer exchange rate discounts, often more favorable than bank rates.

Many convenience stores, restaurants, and supermarkets in Malaysia accept Alipay.
⚠️ Despite the excellent hotel environments, the water quality can be poor. Consider bringing a shower filter core for a better experience.
⚠️ Don’t forget to pack a power bank to keep your devices charged and ready for all the adventures ahead.

Unlike in China, where shared power banks are a common sight, they are not as readily available in Malaysia. There’s nothing more frustrating than being out and about with a dead phone!
⚠️ If you’re planning to get a waterproof phone case, I recommend buying one in China and bringing it along. It’s much more affordable there.
For snorkeling enthusiasts, don’t forget to bring your own mouthpiece. The ones provided at the location are public and can be unhygienic.
⚠️ If you dream of staying in the water bungalows of Semporna, make sure to book well in advance! Popular resorts like Kapalai often require reservations at least a month ahead to secure your spot.
That’s all the advice I have for now, sisters👭. If you have any other questions or need more tips, feel free to reach out. I’m here to help!
