Discover Why Kuching is an Amazing Travel Destination for Nature Lovers
A few tips:
1. Without a motorcycle license, the rental shop will not rent you a motorcycle.
2. Car rentals are mostly available at the airport.
3. Staying near the Golden Bridge means everything is not far away, and there are plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby.
4. The Sarawak Museum is closed from 11:30 to 13:30, and only a limited number of people can enter; I’m not sure how to make a reservation.

The Borneo Cultures Museum next door is great, with an entrance fee of 50 RM for foreigners, and no reservation is required.
5. It seems that hotel room rates generally do not include breakfast, but it’s not necessary to eat at the hotel. There is also a 20 RM tourism tax upon check-in.
6. You don’t need to arrive three hours in advance for flights to Kuala Lumpur Airport.

T1 is faster, while T2 is larger and the check-in process can be more chaotic. It’s better to arrive a bit earlier, especially for AirAsia. Once you get there, ask the staff where to check in, as the self-service baggage drop machines cannot print boarding passes! If the self-service check-in machine does not issue a boarding pass, immediately find out where to go for manual check-in!

Remember to register for EZPaz before security, which allows you to pass through security by facial recognition. T2 has two security checkpoints; the first one is quite lenient, so don’t relax and start browsing duty-free shops right after passing it, as you still need some time to go through another security checkpoint to reach your gate.
