Discovering Hidden Gems: Why This Place in Malacca Was a Post-Trip Surprise 🇲🇾
Treasure Scenic Spot!!!

I’ve visited Malacca three times—once by chartered car and twice by self-driving. Each trip was a unique adventure!

The first time, we followed the typical chartered car route. We set off at 8 am, strolled around the vibrant Jonker Street, enjoyed a delicious lunch of ancient city chicken rice balls, and then explored the historic Red House, St. Paul’s Church, A Famosa Fort, and the floating mosque. We returned to Kuala Lumpur around 8 pm, feeling satisfied with our day.

On my second visit, I drove with friends and stayed in a cozy homestay for a night. We retraced the steps of the first trip and added a few new stops. We visited the Portuguese Village (⚡️skip it; it’s quite desolate [laugh-cry]), the Submarine Museum ⚡️, and took a scenic boat ride along the Malacca River at night. The river cruise under the stars was truly enchanting.

The third time, I brought my in-laws and stuck to the traditional route from the first trip [laugh-cry]. We also checked out Encore Melaka (please avoid unless you’re there during sunset [laugh-cry]). We managed to return to KL on the same day, but it was a whirlwind tour!
The most disappointing part was discovering this hidden gem only after returning from Malacca that night! Now, I can only look forward to the next visit…
📍If you Google Tanjung Tuan, you’ll find it belongs to Malacca but is actually 70 kilometers away, closer to Port Dickson (just 20 kilometers). It makes for a perfect one-day trip to Port Dickson or a two-day getaway to Malacca ✌️. This spot offers a mix of mountains, beaches, forests, and rock caves. You can hike through the lush jungle or splash in the clear waters. Plan to spend at least 4 hours here to fully enjoy the experience.
⚠️Be aware that the rock cave is only accessible during low tide. High tide can submerge parts of it, making it unsafe. Before heading out, check the low tide times for Tanjung Tuan on Google.
To those who have been there, could you share more stunning photos? [frowning face]
