Is Working in Exchange for Accommodation in Langkawi Worth It? Discover the Benefits and Drawbacks 🌼
I volunteered at Bed Attitude for two weeks, and it was truly the most rewarding and exhilarating solo adventure! 🫶🏻 You get to meet a diverse array of people and expand your horizons 🌎, whether they are foreigners, locals, or fellow first-time volunteers. Everyone is incredibly open-minded and welcoming! [WowR]
[PartyR] As volunteers, we enjoyed some fantastic free activities:
1. Island Hopping Tour 🏝️ (island hopping, kayaking, snorkeling, beach time, and watching eagle feeding)
2. Mangrove Tour 🌴 (exploring mangroves, spotting bats, visiting crocodile caves, savoring seafood, and relaxing on the beach)
🏖️ The beaches in Langkawi are simply breathtaking—the sand is soft, and the water is crystal clear. And, of course, the sunset is a must-see 🌅. Head to the beach by 6:30 pm [ThumbsUpR] (the sunset at 7 pm is absolutely stunning!)
Highly recommended [ThumbsUpR]:
1. You must try Langkawi Sushi!! 🍣 It’s incredibly delicious! The chef is a native Japanese 🇯🇵, and she will give you a taste of authentic Japan and what real sushi is all about! 🤤 If you go, say hi to her from me, haha. She calls me “wakame boy” because I couldn’t get enough of her wakame 🤣 (it’s that good 😩).
(Car: Use Waze to find Langkawi Sushi or take a Grab there!)
2. Try parasailing! 🪂 Parasailing with a yacht is an unforgettable experience! I highly recommend going at 6:30 pm and seeing the sunset from up high; it will [FrowningR] make you feel that life is truly meaningful 😭.
3. Sunset Cruise! 🌅 (Unfortunately, I missed out because the other volunteers had already gone when I arrived [CryingR]). I saw my friends’ photos, and if you love sunsets, this is a must-do! [ThumbsUpR]
The funny thing is, I felt like a rainmaker on this trip [DisappointedR]. The weather was originally perfect, but it rained heavily everywhere we went [StiffR] 🌧️. Luckily, after the rain, the sun would come out ⛅️, creating a unique and memorable experience [SelfieR].
