Determined to make the most of my trip, I decided to spend three nights in Langkawi, and honestly, that was just the right amount of time [Face Pulling H]. A month before my trip, I agonized over hotel choices, from the luxurious 3k Ritz, the boutique The Dana, to the highly rated Riyaz and Parkroyal. Finally, I booked a newly renovated sea view room at Resort World for 330 RMB per night [Party R]. It was an absolute steal!
ββββ2οΈβ£. What to do? βββ
Three days in Langkawi offer a leisurely pace, with plenty of time to ponder which cocktail to sip and where to enjoy afternoon tea.
– **Wild Life Safari**: With tickets priced at 60 MYR, you can get up close and personal with a variety of animals. Arriving around 3:30 PM is perfect for a full experience.
– **Mangrove Tours**: I recommend booking through a shop at Tanjung Rhu Beach, though walk-ins are possible too, costing around 200+ MYR. Don’t forget to bring some bread to feed the monkeys π΅, which will surely bring a smile to your face. The Bat Cave, which I initially looked forward to, turned out to be quite eerie when I got there πββοΈ
– **Sunset Watching**: I skipped the duty-free shops in Kuah Town and, after the mangroves, opted for dinner and sunset viewing.
The restaurant owner suggested Starbucks, but I had a better idea. The St. Regis, while not large, has a stunning seaside bar, making it the perfect spot for a memorable evening.

– **The Danna** also offers afternoon tea, but I chose the Ritz for its exceptional quality.
ββ3οΈβ£ Should you take a taxi?βββ
Langkawi drives on the right, and if you’re not experienced, safety should be your top priority. I don’t recommend trying to drive yourself. Resort World is located at the southern end of Pantai Cenang, and I never had any trouble hailing a taxi on the island. Fares were generally within 10 MYR, making it a convenient and affordable option.

– **Kellyβs Cafe**: I stopped by for brunch before leaving, and their burger was so delicious it almost brought me to tears π₯.
– **Selera Lubuk Buaya**: My first meal in Pantai Cenang, and it was both reliable and delicious.

I was curious about why everyone buys chocolate in Langkawi, so I didnβt purchase any. Only when I arrived in Kuala Lumpur did I realize the prices were doubled. If you need to give gifts, definitely buy some!
