Langkawi Travel Guide 2023: Ultimate Tips for Your Perfect Island Getaway βοΈπ
This marks my third visit to the enchanting island of Langkawi, and I’ve gathered some valuable tips and insights to share with you all [Red Book R].
DAY 1 π«
Our journey began with a flight at 6:55 pm, touching down at our destination by 8:00 pm.
π First things first, let’s tackle the transportation issue.
π LANGKAWI AIRPORT
Upon stepping off the plane and into the airport, you’ll be greeted by a sea of car rental signs held up by eager staff.
For our group of six, we opted for two AXIA cars (totaling 600 horsepower).
*Pro tip: Have your most persuasive friend negotiate the price to secure the best deal possible [Sly Smile R]
*Always thoroughly inspect the vehicle and record a video as evidence after picking it up (to avoid any potential scams)

π Our accommodation was a resort that has captured my heart on each of my three visits [Winking R]
π A ROCK RESORT
We enjoyed a four-night, five-day stay at this charming resort, where the rooms were both cozy and inviting.
The large swimming pool, encircled by guest rooms, exudes a strong sense of vacation.
Itβs also a fantastic spot for capturing memorable photos.
You have the option to choose between a Pool View or a Mountain View room.
*While the Pool View is undeniably beautiful, it can get a bit noisy. For a more tranquil experience, I recommend the Mountain View [Shy R]
*The breakfast menu is somewhat limited, with similar offerings each day.
On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings at 8:00 pm, a live band adds a lively touch to the atmosphere [Party R]
The swimming pool closes at 11:00 pm, but if you’re still in the mood for socializing, head to the Roof Top near the hotel front desk. You can even bring your own drinks [Cute R]
DAY 2 π
π After a hearty breakfast on the second day, we set off for our first adventure.
πLANGKAWI SKYBRIDGE CABLE CAR
In addition to the cable car and Sky Bridge, there are several other attractions (tickets booked through KLOOK) that you can explore.
*The cable car doesn’t take you directly to the Sky Bridge; it stops at a certain height where the EAGLEβS NEST SKY WALK is located.
*From my personal experience, the view from the EAGLE WALK is quite similar to that of the Sky Bridge, but if you’re up for a new experience, it’s definitely worth a try.
*To reach the Sky Bridge, you’ll need to take the Sky Glide, which is like an elevator. If you haven’t purchased a Sky Glide ticket in advance, you can easily buy one on-site.
*Alternatively, you can choose to walkπΆββ‘οΈ
-I’ve tried both walking and taking the Sky Glide. Walking is physically demanding, while the Sky Glide tests your patience.
The hike is manageable, but the return journey, with its steep stone steps, can be challenging, especially for the elderly. The Sky Glide, on the other hand, is convenient but requires waiting, as it can only carry up to 8 people at a time.
