Ultimate 3 Days 2 Nights Perhentian Island Getaway Guide 🏖️ Dive & RelaxMALAYSIA
During the September school break, we embarked on an exhilarating adventure to Pulau Perhentian. For two people, a 3D2N trip cost RM1400+ (including round-trip transportation and all expenses on the island).

[Recommend] Package price: RM1254 for 2 people (including round-trip boat tickets, two nights’ accommodation, dinner on the first day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the second day, and breakfast on the third day, as well as two snorkeling trips)

[Recommend] Round-trip transportation:
[Star] You have the option to travel by bus🚌, self-driving🚗, or plane✈️.
[Star] From Kuala Besut pier, a speedboat will whisk you away to the island.
[Star] If you choose to fly, note that there is a distance between the airport and the pier, so you’ll need to arrange a car transfer.

[Star] For those driving, parking is available near the pier, but there is a fee.
[Star] We opted for the bus from KL to Kuala Besut, which took about 6 hours, and the round-trip bus ticket for two people was only RM160+.
[Star] Upon arriving at the pier, head to the travel agency next to Lucky Seafood Restaurant, where Mr.

Ong will take care of your boat arrangements. The day before your return, the friendly owner will contact you to confirm the departure time. (The owner is very accommodating and even offers GoPro rentals for capturing your underwater adventures.)

[Recommend] Hotel
The Barat Perhentian 3D2N package on the big island:
[Thumbs up] Pros: Excellent value for money, with its own restaurant and lounge chairs.
[Weak] Cons: No swimming pool, and some room types are a bit dated. The sand is also coarser.

[Recommend] Food
[Star] You can savor any of the dishes shown in picture 6.
[Star] For more dining options, head to Mama Restaurant or Coral View Restaurant, both located next to The Barat.

[Recommend] Snorkeling🤿
[Star] Each snorkeling trip lasts about 3 hours and takes you to different spots. Unfortunately, the corals have experienced bleaching, so be sure to use reef-safe sunscreen when entering the water.
[Star] Snorkeling gear and life jackets are provided. If you prefer your own equipment, feel free to bring it along.

[Star] As someone who is nearsighted and hesitant to wear contact lenses, I purchased prescription snorkel goggles online (to ensure I wouldn’t miss out on the vibrant marine life!).
[Star] Trip A includes exciting stops like Shark Point🦈 and Turtle Point, where you can spot small sharks and turtles.
[Star] Trip B involves visits to other islands, giving you the chance to see Nemo.
[Star] Personally, I found Shark Point to be the most captivating, with its stunning views of small sharks, fish, and corals. However, the waves here are larger, so be cautious to avoid swallowing water.
[Recommend] Water Taxi Adventure
[Star] Pulau Perhentian is a stunning archipelago divided into two main islands: the Big Island and the Small Island. The Barat, a popular destination, is located on the Big Island. To explore the Small Island, hop on a water taxi for a scenic journey. (Remember, prices double after 7 PM, so plan your trip accordingly!)
[Star] Many visitors rave about Long Beach on the Small Island, where the atmosphere is vibrant and bustling with activity. Enjoy a variety of restaurants, thrilling water sports, and a lively crowd. As night falls, be captivated by mesmerizing fire shows. The sand here is exceptionally fine and smooth, perfect for a relaxing day by the sea. [Winking face]
[Check-in]
[Star] Protect yourself from the sun’s harsh rays with a stinger suit.
[Star] Keep your feet safe from sharp objects with diving socks.
[Star] Stay hydrated during your snorkeling adventures by bringing a bottle of drinking water. If you’re sensitive to cold, pack a towel to warm up.
[Star] Don’t miss out on capturing those underwater moments—bring a waterproof phone case.
[Star] Learn some basic techniques for handling water intake while snorkeling, just in case.
[Fireworks] You can easily book your adventure package through The Barat’s official website or a trusted travel agency.
