Devonport (first 6 photos) – Embark on a scenic ferry ride from the CBD pier (round trip for just 16 NZD) to the charming Devonport. The journey takes only 15 minutes, with ferries departing every half hour. Upon arrival, you can easily return at your convenience. After disembarking, stroll up the lively commercial street to reach a vantage point that offers breathtaking panoramic views of Auckland. It’s a truly stunning sight.

There are two routes to the top: one with steps and another for vehicles. For the most picturesque experience, take the steps. The path is lined with beautiful scenery, though the view from the summit is equally magnificent regardless of the route you choose.

Mount Eden, accessible by a short taxi ride from the city center, is another must-visit spot. Using DiDi International is both convenient and affordable, costing around 10 NZD. Once there, you’ll need to walk up a gentle slope to reach the top. While the views are pleasant, they don’t quite match the splendor of Devonport. If time permits, visiting both is ideal, but if you have to choose, Devonport is the recommended destination.
