็งๆฎ: Information from Google ๐

Mount Tongariro, a majestic active volcano, rises impressively on the North Island of New Zealand, just 20 kilometers southwest of the serene Lake Taupo, reaching an elevation of 1978 meters. Its last eruption was recorded in 1977, adding to its allure and mystique. Originally part of indigenous lands, it was generously gifted to the New Zealand government by Maori chief Te Heuheu in 1887.

Along with its neighboring peaks, Mount Ngauruhoe and Mount Ruapehu, Tongariro National Park was established in 1894. This breathtaking area was designated a World Heritage Site in 1990 and has since become a renowned hiking destination, drawing adventurers and nature lovers from around the globe.

Before embarking on my journey, I couldn’t help but wonder, given that it’s an active volcano ๐, could there be a chance of another eruption? ? ? Is there any danger โ ๏ธ? ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ I don’t know if others have pondered this, but the thought definitely crossed my mind ๐คฃ

However, after some reflection ๐ค, I realized that as a well-known and well-trodden trail within a national park ๐๏ธ, there must be dedicated professionals at the national level who continuously monitor the volcanic activity. If there were any signs of trouble, they would surely issue warnings and prohibit climbing ๐ซ, which put my mind at ease, hahaha ~ ๐คฃ

The sheer beauty of Mount Tongariro is something that no camera can fully capture; it’s truly a place that needs to be experienced firsthand ๐
