Discover New Zealand: 8-Day Adventure Tour for $30,000 Experience
This trip to New Zealand was a dream from start to finish, and I couldn’t be happier with the choice we made 🙌. We didn’t opt for a large, impersonal tour group, nor did we stress over planning every detail ourselves. Instead, we found a custom travel planner who crafted a personalized itinerary just for the two of us, complete with a private car and a Chinese-speaking driver throughout our journey 🚗. The best part? We had full control over how the days were arranged!

To be honest, I was initially a bit skeptical, wondering if it would be too expensive or if we might fall into some tourist trap. But now that we’re back, I can confidently say: It was worth every penny! Absolutely, 100% worth it!

🧳 Just the two of us, no carpooling, no group tours
It was just my boyfriend and me, along with our driver, in one car, exploring the stunning landscapes of New Zealand. We could stow our luggage wherever we wanted, sit comfortably, leave at our leisure, stop for photos, grab a coffee, or even change the route on a whim—it felt like we had a secret “travel cheat code” 😆.

Our driver was also a fantastic guide, fluent in Chinese, incredibly reliable, and a pro at capturing the perfect moments 📷. His humor and warmth made us feel like we had an extra friend along for the adventure, adding to the overall enjoyment.

🏨 Thoughtful hotel arrangements
In Queenstown, we stayed at a hotel with a breathtaking view of Lake Wakatipu 🌊. Waking up and opening the curtains to see the serene lake was a magical experience. In Lake Tekapo, our room offered a stunning view of the night sky, where we could lie in bed and gaze at the stars 🌌. The Milky Way and the Southern Cross were clearly visible, creating a truly romantic atmosphere.

All the hotels included breakfast 🍳, and it wasn’t just a standard meal but a delightful spread that left us feeling satisfied—hot dishes, cold cuts, fresh fruits, bread, and a variety of drinks, perfect to kick-start the day.

🎢 Well-paced and fulfilling itinerary
Skydiving and bungee jumping in Queenstown were the adrenaline-pumping highlights of our trip 💥.
Taking photos of the famous lone tree and visiting the Puzzling World in Wanaka provided a relaxing contrast.
Hiking in Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, with its glaciers and snow-capped mountains, was a visual feast 🏔️.

We joined a stargazing tour at Lake Tekapo, and it truly felt like we were floating among the stars ✨.
The custom planner ensured a well-balanced schedule, with a maximum of two or three stops per day, so we never felt rushed or exhausted.

💸 Total cost
For the two of us, the entire trip cost around 30,000 RMB:
🛏️ Including the private car, 7 nights in 4-5 star hotels, Chinese-speaking guide, and itinerary planning: about ¥14,000 per person
🍽️ Meals and experience activities (skydiving, tickets, etc.): ¥2,000 per person
✈️ International and domestic flights + miscellaneous fees: ¥4,000 per person
Honestly, for this kind of “stress-free, good sleep, great food, and unforgettable experiences” trip, I think it was absolutely worth it.
💬 Travel Experience
Couple trips can often be fraught with disagreements, but this time, we barely argued because everything was so seamless. No rushing for tickets, no getting lost, no late-night planning sessions. It was a truly worry-free and enjoyable experience.
We simply immersed ourselves in the breathtaking scenery and each other’s company, and that alone made it a truly unforgettable experience 💖.
If you’re dreaming of a stress-free adventure in New Zealand, I highly recommend opting for a private, tailor-made trip with your own dedicated vehicle! Say goodbye to the hassle of planning, the constraints of group tours, and the rush of tight schedules.
Our journey was nothing short of relaxed and luxurious ~
I am absolutely determined to return to Queenstown, and when I do, the thrilling Jet Boat will be my first stop 🇳🇿.
