Discover the Most Unmissable Hidden Gem Beach in Dunedin This Summer
To be honest, Dunedin is a delightful city for a leisurely stroll. The city exudes a charming British ambiance, and there are countless quaint little shops to discover. As you wander through the city center, you’ll likely come across the First Church of Otago, the first church in New Zealand, with its striking Gothic architecture. Additionally, I personally recommend two spots for a short and scenic hike.

Sandyfly Bay (P3-6)
This picturesque location features an observation deck, from which you can descend to a pristine white-sand beach. Keep an eye out for sea lions; they’re known to be quite playful, though a bit rough (so stay cautious! 🤔). The views here are breathtaking, and the refreshing sea breeze adds to the serene atmosphere.

Tunnel Beach
This place is absolutely stunning, with some angles reminiscent of Iceland’s dramatic landscapes. The trail is relatively easy, making the entire experience both comfortable and enjoyable. If you make your way down to the beach, the scenery is equally impressive and perfect for capturing memorable photos (it’s my personal favorite).
