I recently noticed that quite a few people have been checking out the New Zealand travel guide notes I posted last year. It seems like some of you are planning a trip to New Zealand [sly chuckle]. After exploring the South Island, I found Wanaka and Dunedin to be the most delightful. These spots strike the perfect balance—neither as bustling as Queenstown nor as remote as Twizel and some other areas.

They’re just right. Sadly, my vacation days were limited, so I couldn’t extend my stay. If I had the luxury of choosing a place to live while traveling, I’d definitely pick one of these two (but let’s be real, a worker like me can only dream of such a life).
