Back from New Zealand for a week, finally had time to organize the photos! 📸
The entire trip was perfect, far exceeding my husband’s and my expectations. After returning, my husband often mentioned that we must go again if we have the chance!

Actually, both of us are not very good at English, and we were hesitant to try self-driving.

We were also worried that joining a tour group would be too tiring, plus my husband has high standards for accommodation. We thought the trip might be a bit troublesome, but unexpectedly, things turned around — we found a travel agency owner near our home on xhs, and she even helped us find another couple.

The four of us traveled in a spacious Alphard car, which was comfortable and flexible, saving money and effort, it was perfect! I want to find her for any future trips, it was really convenient! 👍

Christchurch: Stayed at the Hilton Hotel, the environment was very comfortable! Enjoyed a tomahawk steak and oysters at Bessie restaurant, the ingredients were very fresh, every bite was a delight.

Lake Tekapo: Stayed for two nights, and was very lucky to see the Milky Way! The view from the mountain-top cafe overlooking Lake Tekapo was breathtaking.

Also visited a salmon farm, the sashimi melted in the mouth, couldn’t help but order several plates! The grilled fish head was also super fragrant, still drooling when thinking about it.

Mount Cook: Hiked to the glacier lake, the guy recommended several stunning photo spots, every shot was like a masterpiece!

No filters needed, the natural beauty was enough to carry the whole photography session.

Queenstown: Stayed for 3 nights. Although too scared to skydive, we went on a speedboat ride on the lake, which was also thrilling! Also took a.
century-old steamship, enjoyed a sumptuous buffet, and watched sheepdogs herding sheep along the way, super fun!

Glenorchy, the Lord of the Rings town: The scenery along the way was breathtaking, couldn’t stop taking photos! This place truly deserves to be called “the last paradise on earth.”

Shopping in Queenstown: Bought many small gifts at the downtown mall, and also got an alpaca blanket, finally can stay warm in the northeast winter ~
Wanaka: Visited the lonely tree, the weather was great, sat by the lake for a long time, peaceful and healing, instantly relieved stress!

Oamaru: The little blue penguins were so cute! They come ashore after dark, very timid, and reportedly weigh only up to 1kg. Seeing them return to their nests, my heart melted, really wanted to take one home!

Hidden gem: A century-old bakery: The guy knew I loved desserts, specially took us to this old shop, a must-visit for dessert lovers!

The taste was superb, filled with happiness.

Accommodation arrangements: In addition to the Hilton Hotel in Christchurch, our guide arranged spectacular and spacious houses for us in other locations. Each one was a luxurious and comfortable retreat, filled with delightful surprises. If we had been on our own, we might never have discovered these hidden gems!
Reflections on the journey: The entire trip was not only breathtakingly beautiful but also deeply touching thanks to the exceptional service. The thoughtful and meticulous planning by our Chinese-speaking guide made every day effortless and flexible. We didn’t have to worry about a thing; all we had to do was follow along and soak in the experience.
This journey truly allowed us to immerse ourselves in the stunning beauty of New Zealand, and we are already eagerly anticipating our next adventure—perhaps a 14-day in-depth tour! 💖
