Experience a Relaxing Lakeside Homestay in Scenic Queenstown, NZ

The homestay I selected last year was already fantastic, but this year, after getting to know the area, I meticulously examined the map and scrutinized every detail of the homestays that caught my eye. I considered their orientation, the views they offered, their proximity to the town center, and any potential obstructions. Finally, I settled on this one, and when I checked in, it was truly a “Wow!!”

Queenstown experiences significant temperature fluctuations during the summer. I chose this homestay because I noticed its living room features a cozy bay window seating area. Whether it’s scorching hot, raining, cloudy, or windy and cold, you can comfortably relax in the living room and enjoy the breathtaking views of Queenstown (this is incredibly important! Last year’s homestay was beautiful, but the balcony became unusable when it got colder at night).

However, upon arrival, I discovered that the kitchen is actually the most stunning part of the entire place [frowning R]. I wholeheartedly recommend this homestay. It’s very close to the town, just a few minutes by car, and a 12-minute walk! There’s also a top-floor balcony with a barbecue grill, perfect for roasting marshmallows (there’s an indoor oven as well).

The homestay is a charming three-story house, like a little fairy tale world. An outdoor staircase leads to the third-floor balcony, surrounded by pink roses, creating a picturesque scene (I almost cried). With four rooms in total, it can accommodate a large group . Even if only two people stay, using just the top floor is still incredibly comfortable!
