Your adventure begins in Queenstown, where you’ll travel comfortably along the shores of Lake Wakatipu, through the picturesque southern farmlands, to reach Te Anau, the largest lake in the South Island. After enjoying a delightful morning tea (at your own expense), you’ll continue along the lakeside to Fiordland National Park.

As you enter the enchanting Eglinton Valley, you’ll be surrounded by ancient alpine forests and rushing waterfalls, one of the few glacier-carved valleys in New Zealand accessible by road. Take advantage of the many photo opportunities along the Milford Road, such as the stunning Mirror Lakes, where, on a calm day, the surrounding mountains are perfectly reflected in the still waters; and The Chasm, where glaciers have left their indelible mark on the landscape.

Traveling in a luxurious glass-roofed coach, you’ll cross the main divide of the Southern Alps, enjoying spectacular skylines surrounded by towering peaks. Make a brief stop at Monkey Creek to taste some of the purest water in the world (but watch out for the cheeky kea—local mountain parrots!). Then, pass through the Homer Tunnel, a 1.2 km long tunnel carved through solid rock, before continuing through pristine forest, finally arriving at Milford Sound.
