Exploring Queenstown on a Rainy Day: Top Indoor Activities and Attractions

On the first day in Queenstown, the plane ride was a rollercoaster of turbulence, and I even felt like I might lose my lunch. But the moment I stepped off the plane, the breathtaking mountain scenery and the crisp, cool air instantly soothed my nerves.

At noon, we headed to Fergburger, but the line was incredibly long, so we decided to try the neighboring Italian restaurant, Bella Cucina. The ambiance was charming, though the food took a while to arrive, as it was prepared fresh. We started with a raw beef appetizer, followed by ragu pappardelle. The meat sauce was delicious, but the noodles were a bit too firm, making the overall experience just okay [smack].

The pizza, a prosciutto delight recommended by the server, was a hit, especially the cheese [party]. Since the menu changes daily, you can always order based on the day’s offerings, your preferences, and the server’s suggestions [selfie].

The cream donut from Fergbaker is truly heavenly, not greasy at all [crying]. I’m definitely planning to indulge again before I leave. I also tried their brownie, which had a satisfying, dense texture, and I highly recommend both treats.

Patagonia is indeed a hidden gem, offering both affordability and delicious flavors. I was tempted to try every single one (if you’re curious about a flavor, the friendly staff will let you sample it; I got a small taste of the honey flavor, and it was delightful) [crying]. The hazelnut ice cream I ordered was rich and creamy.

The location by the lake adds to its charm, with stunning views from both the first and second floors. Spending an afternoon there with their delectable desserts would make anyone feel blissfully content 😥.

We stayed in a lake-view room at the Copthorne Hotel. Although the hotel itself is a bit dated, the view more than makes up for it. In the evening, the rain finally stopped, and the sky transformed into a beautiful shade of blue. The picturesque scene outside our window made me forget all about the earlier rainy weather [kiss].
