In the past, I noticed that some girls on a tour were given Chinese explanation cards, but we booked our trip through Taobao, and the entire experience was in English 🥹. Nonetheless, you just need to get the general idea; as long as you understand the basics of paddling (because if you’re not proficient, the instructor will tie their boat to yours and paddle together 😅).

That’s exactly what happened to us because I really struggled with paddling, and my boyfriend, being super strong, would paddle hard from the back, causing us to go in circles 🥲.

They provide all the necessary gear, so you can take off your own clothes (girls can just wear a tank top and underwear) and leave the rest at the base. Valuables can be stored in the provided waterproof bags.

‼️‼️‼️It’s highly recommended to bring a pair of socks. I wore socks to avoid blisters, but they got wet, so I ended up barefoot, which felt a bit awkward 🥹.

🛎️By the way, at the end, you have to fold the boat yourself. Just follow the instructions: first, let the air out, then fold it in half and release more air, and finally, start rolling. Girls might find it a bit challenging, so it’s best to let the guys handle it ‼️

Afterward, wait for the shuttle. Our shuttle took us back to Queenstown around 4 PM (you can confirm this with the front desk, as I initially thought the trip was over and wondered how to get back—maybe they mentioned it before, but I wasn’t paying attention).

While I think the price is a bit high 🥲, it’s acceptable within 1500, and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking 💯.
