Exploring Pyongyang: A Relaxing Stroll Through North Korea’s Capital City
Pyongyang boasts a truly refreshing atmosphere, where the skies alternate between brilliant azure and soft overcast hues, with remarkably little haze to obscure the views. What captivates me most are the magnificent cloud formations that paint the sky like an ever-changing masterpiece.

That unforgettable afternoon began with a taxi ride to East Pyongyang, followed by my long-awaited stroll across the majestic Taedong Bridge. As I walked over the glistening Taedong River, camera in hand, I finally captured the breathtaking panorama of the cityscape unfolding along both riverbanks. (Pics 2/3/4)

After crossing the bridge, I leisurely wandered along the vibrant riverfront toward the Yanggakdo Hotel downstream. This scenic route, which I’d previously taken during my Nanglang visit, was alive with energy—fitness enthusiasts working out, couples enjoying romantic walks, patient anglers casting their lines, and children’s laughter ringing through the air, creating a picture of perfect harmony.

My journey culminated at the architectural wonder of Mirae Scientists Street. (Pics 1/8/9)
I carefully planned my visit to coincide with the golden hour, ensuring I could photograph the street’s futuristic buildings bathed in the most flattering light—their sleek silhouettes standing as proud symbols of Pyongyang’s modern aspirations.
