Best Fukuoka City Walk Guide: Explore Top Attractions & Hidden Gems in Japan
Day [2] with @Ada Cruises
Right after disembarking, we encountered Japan’s 🇯🇵 annual Coming-of-Age Ceremony!
The streets were filled with people wearing kimonos 👘.

🍜 Ichiran Ramen Headquarters (Main Store)
The estimated wait time was about 30-40 minutes. The staff all spoke English and thoughtfully provided a child’s chair 🪑 for little ones.
If you usually prefer bold flavors, you can opt for the rich broth.
For lighter tastes, the standard option is just fine.

⛩️ Kushida Shrine
About a 15-minute walk from the ramen shop, this shrine features a traditional Japanese garden.
A full stroll around takes roughly 20 minutes.

🛍️ Kamikawabata Shopping Street
Right outside the shrine is this shopping street, lined with convenience stores, accessory shops, and all sorts of goods.
Most stores close by 20:00.

🗼 Fukuoka Tower
We took the W1 bus 🚌 from the intersection near Ichiran Ramen, and the final stop was near Fukuoka Tower.
Admission 🎫 is 800 yen.
The elevator goes straight to the top, where a full-circle observation deck offers panoramic views of Fukuoka City and the sea.
Downstairs on the first floor, there’s a “Lovers’ Sanctuary,” and you can buy matching locks at the ticket counter.

[🛍️] Tenjin Underground Shopping Mall
This mall stretches across the entire commercial district, showcasing unique handmade crafts and trendy items from local designers. While shopping, you can also soak in Fukuoka’s fashionable vibe. This time, with kids in tow, we only did a quick browse, grabbing some snacks and ice cream 🍦.

⚓️ From Tenjin, we took a taxi back to the port.
Our intense city walk ended with the kids running out of energy!
Leaving some regrets for next time!
