Penang 72-Hour Food & Exploration Guide: Discover Old Nanyang Charm in Malaysia 🇲🇾
Penang, a place where the delicious food and stunning scenery never fail to captivate me. The Fuji filter on Dazz perfectly complements the Nanyang architecture, making every snapshot a work of art.

This charming, slow-paced town is characterized by shops that generally open late and close early. (You’ll have to choose between the breathtaking seaside sunset and the quaint little shops in the city, so be sure to check the business hours and rest days ⏲️)

Whether it’s morning, afternoon, or evening, exploring the city on a scooter 🛵 is a delightful experience.

However, the midday heat can be intense, so it’s a great idea to duck into a cozy café for a refreshing cup of coffee or treat yourself to a spa session. I highly recommend the foot massage, and the full-body essential oil massage 💆♀️ is truly rejuvenating.

George Town isn’t large, and getting around by taxi is quite convenient, often just the starting fare.

However, the price from the seaside back to the city can vary based on supply and demand, so it’s wise to plan your return time carefully 😏.

If you have ample time, wandering through the streets and alleys is a must. Let your curiosity guide you, and you’ll discover vibrant graffiti walls and charming little shops ✨.

Every Nanyang building is a perfect backdrop for photos 📸. You don’t need to search for them; they will naturally appear as you explore the city.

Be cautious when following city routes recommended online 😑. Everyone has different preferences for exploration, and what works for one person might not suit another.

The route I followed, for instance, led me to a stationery store, which was a bit of a head-scratcher…

In summary, the food in Penang falls into two categories: delicious and decent. Surprisingly, there were no disappointments 🙂↔️. The pictures above are of places I found particularly enjoyable, and I’m sharing them with you.

I hope everyone has a fantastic time in Penang ~
