Indonesia 9 Days 8 Nights Free and Easy Travel Itinerary Tips (Part 2)
DAY6️⃣ Set Sail to Bali 🚢 (1h) Purchase your boat ticket for 11.6K at the Alfamarket convenience store, conveniently located right across from the pier. Once you step off the boat, head to the bus station just 200 meters to the right of the pier. Your final destination is Denpasar, but we're aiming for Ubud.

Get off at Mengwi and continue to Ubud by bus or taxi, which will take about an hour. The bus fare is 70K per person, but if they ask for 100K, don't hesitate to haggle. If the Bali pier is bustling with people, consider hiring a car to Ubud for 4 hours at 800k for a five-seater, and arrange it in advance with a trusted local.

DAY7️⃣ Ubud - Palace, Market, Sacred Monkey Forest & Yoga Start your morning with a visit to the palace (no reservation or ticket needed, 0.5h). It's compact, so you can explore it quickly. Surrounding the palace, you'll find numerous art markets brimming with clothes, slippers, and souvenirs—don't forget to bargain!

For lunch, head to Pison rice field restaurant, a favorite among Koreans and Chinese. Surprisingly, the standout dish here is the dirty duck fried rice. In the afternoon, venture into the Sacred Monkey Forest (entrance fee 80k, 1h), a natural oasis near the city center. The serene atmosphere, complete with food and drink options, makes it a relaxing spot.

Just be sure not to tease the monkeys to avoid any unwanted attention. As the evening sets in, catch the mesmerizing fire dance performance at Ubud Palace (100K, 1h) starting at 19:30. It's a truly captivating experience. There are still many more delightful experiences in Ubud that I haven't tried yet, and I'm eager to explore them next time: - Putri Ubud Spas traditional spa flower bath - Alsa Harum terraced club - Yoga Barn sound healing meditation

Day8️⃣ Nusa Penida Island Adventure West Route - Discover Broken Beach, Angel's Billabong, and the iconic Kelingking Beach (a perfect spot for iPhone wallpaper photos). East Route - Explore Diamond Beach, swing photo spots, Atuh Beach, and Kuta Beach. The earliest boat to the island departs at 8:30, and the last one leaves at 16:30.

Given the tight schedule, we opted for the west route. The island's roads are quite rough, so it's best to hire a car, which you can easily book online. We booked through Xiaohongshu, and it cost 425 yuan per person, including transportation from our homestay to the pier, the boat ride to Nusa Penida, visits to three stunning locations, and the return trip to the pier and back to our homestay.

Day9️⃣ Seminyak - Beach Clubs & Bintang Supermarket Seminyak is home to a variety of beach clubs, most of which have a minimum spend. Choose one that suits your style. Ku de ta is a popular choice, offering a fantastic beachfront view and a perfect spot to watch the sunset. For shopping, Bintang Supermarket is the largest and most affordable, where we picked up civet coffee, frangipani essential oil, instant noodles, and coconut scrub.

Missing out on Uluwatu was a bit of a letdown, but it gives me something to look forward to on my next visit! Uluwatu Highlights: Morning: Lovers' Cliff, Riug paragliding Lunch: Malini cliff restaurant Afternoon: Pandawa cliff road, Palmilla Beach Club for water activities and watching the sunset
