Kenya Has Returned: Discovering My True Feelings in Unedited Reflections
Just returned from an incredible journey that set me back over $20,000. I spent the night meticulously organizing the travel guide, and I wholeheartedly recommend avoiding the summer vacation period due to the overwhelming crowds. Instead, January to April is truly the golden time to visit! This period marks the short dry season in Kenya, which coincides with the birthing season for most herbivores. The trip was a delightful parade of adorable baby animals at every turn.

Now, there are direct flights from Changsha to Nairobi, operating every Wednesday and Sunday. An 8-day itinerary is highly recommended, perfectly aligning with the flight schedule. 🎈Before embarking on my adventure, I was torn between a self-guided tour and a group tour. After thorough research, I discovered that the choice was clear.

In Kenya, national parks require visitors to be accompanied by a guide, and solo safaris are not permitted. Joining a group tour is the most hassle-free option. I strongly recommend opting for a 4x4 SUV where each passenger gets a window seat; it truly enhances the experience! 📄Visa & Vaccinations ✅Kenya offers visa-free entry to many countries, but you must apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) at least three days in advance.

✅A yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory. ✅Pack some common medications, but note that mosquitoes are not as prevalent, so just bring mosquito repellent. 🤔Group Tour or Self-Guided The key to a successful safari is "people + vehicle." The reliability of the driver, the condition of the car, and the driving skills are crucial.

Group tour drivers have long-term relationships with travel agencies and are highly experienced. They excel at spotting animals and securing the best photography spots. A good guide is indispensable. If a guide isn't up to par, the travel agency would have ceased working with them long ago. With a trip lasting about a week, every thrilling moment should be savored.
