The city’s pulse beats through my veins.
I drank in the electric energy of Shibuya’s swirling crowds.
The relentless sun pressed down, turning my clothes into a second skin.
No refuge existed
from Tokyo’s blazing embrace.
Pushing forward, I discovered sanctuary
beneath the steel ribs of a railway bridge.
Here, at last, my thoughts crystallize.
