-Day-3-Night Ho Chi Minh Adventure: A Male Traveler’s Itinerary and Tips
First, the biggest complaint is about customs and entry! Big thumbs down! For exchanging an e-visa for a separate visa, I brought everything needed (photos, printed e-visa, passport), but when I handed them over, no one took them! There was no one sitting there until someone from an agency came, and then they finally showed up (disgusting).

They all bribe, but in practice, not bribing doesn’t make it any slower! So, everyone, don’t bribe!! Take my advice, those who bribed were only two people faster than me.
The rest of the trip felt pretty good.
[Beef Pho]
I ate at three places, two were great and worth recommending, one was very average.

1 Phở Hùng 👍🏻 Really great, even locals come to eat here, really like finding noodles in the meat! Recommended.
2 Phở Quỳnh 👍🏻 Also very good, the last meal before leaving Ho Chi Minh City, quite affordable, and the coconut was also very tasty.
3 Phở Việt Nam 👎🏻 OK, this place is much more ordinary compared to the first two.

I went because it’s Michelin-rated, but my expectations were too high, and I found it too average, just that the meat quality was quite good, that’s all.
[Bánh Mì] Bánh Mì Huynh Hoa👍🏻 The first time I ate it, I really thought it was delicious! But I want to tell everyone! You can order Grab! So you don’t have to queue!

When I went, there was an Andy in front of me who bought 50! Really annoying! Two people can ask the shop to cut it in half, otherwise, one person eating one is too much.
[Bar] Hybrid Saigon👍🏻 There are discounts before 8 PM, and their drinks are all good, I recommend the one with shiitake mushrooms, because I had it at their branch in Nha Trang, and when I came to Ho Chi Minh City, I immediately went again.

I also went to two other bars, emm, what you need to pay attention to is, if you don’t like the smell of smoke, definitely avoid those with hookahs, there was one where I went in, and the boss started smoking, I was in a very bad mood and drank one glass and ran out.
[Attractions]
1 Independence Palace 👎🏻, you must go through the right door!

I first went to the back door, thinking it would be connected anyway, but ended up walking a big circle! However… it’s just so-so…
2 War Remnants Museum 👎🏻 I’d call it… a photo exhibition.
3 Fine Arts Museum 👎🏻👎🏻 Listen to me! Don’t buy tickets! Don’t go! It’s just a scam.
4 Pink Church👍🏻💒 Very beautiful!

!!! Go go go
5 Opera House 🫥 Just take a picture when passing by at night.
Regarding attractions, I can only say, Vietnam still needs to work hard. Some things are really not done with much effort, there are many coffee shops, everyone can check others’ Xiaohongshu, or if someone leaves a message here, it’s also okay, I’ll stop here for now.
